fun update

Addy is growing up so fast it makes me so sad :( that she isn't going to be a baby soon.  We took her to her 9month check up and she now weighs 22lbs and is 29inches tall. she is pretty high on the growth charts for her age.  Were not to sure where she gets it from since Bryce and I are both short.were guessing it comes from my side though since my sister is super tall.
Addy's 8th tooth just popped through which I'm so happy about. because now she is sleeping through the night again. I seriously think teething is one of the worst things ever invented so hopefully we get a break for a little bit she has been getting two teeth every month since she was five months old. Although she does look so stinking cute with her mouth full of teeth.
When we took Addy to her pediatrician (who i love by the way Dr. Wynn is the greatest!) i was asking him if she should be crawling by now and he told us how most babies are crawling by nine months and some a little later and the some babies never crawl and that perfectly fine to.  So we were thinking that she was just going to skip the crawling stage because she has been pulling her self up to stand and cruising along the furniture. well a week after her appointment she started crawling on her hands and knees.  It is so cute to watch her and she can get going pretty fast when she wants to get some where. She sure gives me a run for my money though.  I turn my head for one second and the next thing i know she is getting in the dog food or pulling things out of a drawer or trying to sneak into another room. So its time we pull out the baby gates. luckily we already have some that we use to keep the dogs out of rooms.
Yesterday was a big mile stone for her too.  She learned how to go up the stairs by her self. It was so cute, her cousins had just gotten home from school and she heard them upstairs. She absolutely loves playing with them, I guess she couldn't wait for me to take her up so she decided she would do it her self and up the stairs she went. Now i need to teach her how to teach her how to go down the stairs so she doesn't hurt her self.
I love all of the new skills that she is learning everyday and i get so proud of her when she learns something new and I love seeing how excited she gets when she leans something new.  Being a mom is so fun and I love every minuet of it!

Miracles

My brother was in a accident last Wednesday.  His truck broke down in Payson so him and his friend were trying to load it on to a trailer so that they could bring it back to my parents house to work on it.  Well it was on of the trailers that angle down or up. well my brother was standing in front of the trailer and his friend was driving it up onto the trailer. well the brakes went out and the E brake failed and the truck went off the front of the trailer when it tipped forward.  The trailer tipped down pinning my brothers foot and the truck landed on his leg pinning him between his truck and his friends truck.   Its amazing Riley wasn't crushed or that he doesn't have any bruises or scrapes on his back because he dented the bumper of his friends truck pretty well.  His leg how ever wasn't so fortunate.  His foot came 3/4 of the way off and his leg was twisted in an s shape around the truck and trailer. Once the paramedics arrived on the scene they had the truck off with in twenty minuets and he was rushed to Payson hospital.  Upon arriving at the hospital the Dr. looked at his leg and determined that it was way to serious and above his skill level so they life flighted him to the hospital in Provo.  We were lucky that we were even able to get in to see him since the whole hospital was on shutdown do to a criminal that had escaped through the ER bathroom ceiling.  mean less to say I didn't feel to safe in there while the Army, Swat Team, K-9 unit, and 10+ police officers were all in bullet proof vest.
When they cleaned Riley up the best they could we were allowed in to see him. the Doctors weren't to hopeful that they would be able to save his leg and rated it a 9.5 on a scale of 1-10 of worst case scenario. but they said they would try.  Riley was given a blessing then rushed off to surgery.  After the surgery was complete the Dr's were amazed for his leg being partially amputated none of his major arteries were injured and the smaller bone in his leg was in perfect condition and he hadn't received any nerve damage.  They did how ever have to take out six inches of bone, and some muscle.  They were very hopeful now that his leg could be saved and made plans to transport him to IMed in Sandy.  he has been there since Thursday and has had three surgeries removing muscle and bone, placing in rods and giving him various grafts.  all the Doctors are amazed at how well he is doing.  were hoping that he will be able to come home for a week or two on Saturday so fingers crossed.
It truly is a miracle that his leg wasn't cut off I have no idea how it wasn't after looking at the pictures and I am even more amazed that the one leg in his bone was broken at all I'm not sure how it was possible and the Dr's are a little stumped to but, It is a testament how strong the priesthood and prayers are. I'm am thankful for the love that friends and family have shown my family.
